about
me

I have a profound passion for technology which can be seen through my active involvement in a range of activities, including app development, multiple summer internships, participation in robotics, and my commitment to the Girls Who Code initiatives. But this is not my only area of interest. You’ve learned about my passion for technology but there is more to who I am as a person.

Self-defense is important to me. Yes, I can break a board! Getting a first-degree black belt was not an easy task, but I did it! Training for several years to achieve this high rank was a largely transformational period for me as I learned not only martial arts techniques but also some real-world life lessons. One of our main mottos was to do everything “physically, mentally, spiritually, and to have a good character”, which was very helpful because it taught me what I believe are four of the most important qualities one can have.

I’d been doing Girl Scouts since the third grade, but never went on a real camping trip. My brother, on the other hand, went out into the wilderness regularly and always came back with amazing stories. So, when I had the opportunity to join the BSA, it was a no-brainer. My favorite part of scouting has been bonding with my fellow troop members in the wilderness and “doing a good turn daily,” by helping out in the community with my friends in the troop. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the scouting journey, am currently working toward achieving Eagle Rank, and I look forward to joining my brother in the soar. My journey towards this accomplishment has included trekking on various trails, acquiring essential life skills such as first aid and cooking, and preparing for emergencies. I’ve also taken the initiative to engage in community service projects, including repairing decks and constructing benches at local nature preserves. This has been very rewarding and I look forward to becoming an Eagle shortly!

To decompress I love to go on bike rides and explore different trails and routes around the neighborhood while listening to music. I love trying new recipes and exploring different places and cultures. Skateboard art became my passion during COVID and I love to do that during my free time along with doing puzzles of the places I’ve visited and some that are on my bucket list. Additionally, I maintain a puzzle wall in my home where I display my collection of puzzles.
